Server – Full-Time Position
Merriman’s Kapalua is seeking experienced and passionate Servers to join our guest experience team. Located oceanfront in Kapalua, Maui, our restaurant is built on the values of Hawaii Regional Cuisine, local sourcing, and genuine hospitality.
At Merriman’s, the Server position represents the pinnacle of our front-of-house experience. Servers are trusted ambassadors of our brand, responsible for creating meaningful connections with guests and delivering exceptional service every night. Extensive knowledge of our menu, wines, cocktails, and local ingredients is essential, as is a commitment to providing the best guest experience in the world.
Responsibilities
Provide warm, professional, and attentive service throughout the guest experience
Demonstrate detailed knowledge of food menus, daily specials, wines, cocktails, and pairings
Take and accurately enter food and beverage orders using the POS system
Deliver food and beverages efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
Ensure guest satisfaction during all stages of service
Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in compliance with all regulations
Perform side work duties and assist with maintaining a clean dining environment
Support team members and contribute to a positive, fast-paced service culture
What We’re Looking For
Passion for hospitality, food, wine, and guest experience
Strong communication and presentation skills
Knowledge of local ingredients, farms, seafood, and producers
Ability to explain menus and concepts clearly and confidently
Understanding of dietary restrictions, allergies, and preferences
Experience with fine dining service standards preferred
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to carry trays, glassware, dishes, and items up to 50 lbs
Comfort working in outdoor and oceanfront conditions
Maintain a professional, clean, and well-groomed appearance
