Greeter (First Impression) – Full-Time Position
Merriman’s Kapalua is hiring Greeters to be the First Impression for our guests.
Located oceanfront in Kapalua, Maui, we are a fast-paced restaurant committed to delivering the highest standards of food, beverage, and service while creating the best guest experience possible.
As a Greeter (First Impression), you are responsible for welcoming guests upon arrival, setting the tone for their dining experience, and supporting restaurant operations through clear communication and hospitality-focused service.
What You’ll Do
Provide exceptional guest service upon arrival and over the phone
Greet each guest professionally and warmly
Estimate wait times for scheduled and unscheduled reservations
Answer the telephone promptly and professionally
Handle general guest concerns and refer issues to the manager on duty
Assist restaurant operations by confirming reservations, sharing menu and promotion details, calling shuttles or taxis, and providing directions
What We’re Looking For
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Strong multitasking and decision-making skills
Professional communication and interpersonal skills
Computer knowledge including POS systems and data entry
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred
Pay and Benefits
Base pay: $18–$25 per hour + tips (typically $28–$35 per hour with tips)
Typical annual earnings: $50,000–$65,000

PTO accrual: up to 40 hours during years 1 and 2, 80 hours after year 3, and 120 hours after year 4
