Baker (Pastry) – Full-Time Position
Merriman’s is seeking a Baker (Pastry) to prepare bakery items following our standardized recipes.

What You’ll Do
Prepare bakery items following Merriman’s standardized recipes, including measuring ingredients and cutting pastry products
Maintain consistency and quality for all baked goods
Set and adjust oven temperatures, humidity, and proofer settings to match product needs
Portion, roll, knead, cut, and shape dough for breads, buns, pizza dough, pie dough, and other baked goods
Apply glazes and toppings, prepare garnishes, and decorate baked goods using a pastry bag
Package baked goods in appropriate trays and move them to designated storage areas
Clean and maintain baking equipment and your station, including ovens, mixers, proofers, floors, freezers, and refrigerators
Requirements
TB clearance
Food handler’s card (ServSafe or comparable)
ServSafe certification on file within 30 days of hire
Ability to work under pressure, follow direction, communicate clearly, and work positively as part of a team
Ability to stand for long periods and safely lift and carry supplies in a fast-paced kitchen environment
