Dishwasher – Full-Time Position

Merriman’s Honolulu is seeking a full-time Dishwasher to support our kitchen team in Ward Village.
This role is essential to maintaining an efficient, clean, and well-organized kitchen environment and directly contributes to delivering an exceptional guest experience.

What You’ll Do

• Operate an industrial dishwashing machine

• Wash pots, pans, dishes, glassware, and kitchen equipment by hand and by machine

• Scrape, sort, stack, load, unload, and return items to proper storage locations

• Empty and clean trash receptacles

• Assist prep cooks and kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak service times

• Maintain cleanliness of floors, walls, dish stations, and storage areas

• Perform opening and closing side work as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred, but willing to train

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

• Ability to work productively in a team environment

• Ability to multitask and adapt quickly during busy service periods

• Ability to clearly communicate with kitchen team members

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours or more)

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs

• Ability to bend, reach, twist, and work in variable temperatures and noise levels
